Dreams are personal. No one can see what’s in your head and understand your vision because no matter how well you describe it, we will only see our version of your explanation. Don’t be offended when someone doesn’t get it. We have to see it. This is true if you are building a unique shelf to hold some books or a new organization that will support marginalized people in our society.
So the same is true when we hear someone else’s dream.
Unfortunately sometimes we jump to “should-ing” all over, OUR VERSION of their dream. You should just do it like this other person, or you should also do these other things, or you should just stick to what you are doing now…
That’s not to say we shouldn’t give advice, but be careful of the advice you give. Does your advice edify or demolish?
