As a sports fan I’ve always had issues with the phrase “We Won”.
Yes the team I wanted to win won. Yes the team I root for won. Yes the team representing the town I happen to live in beat the team from the town that you happen to live in.
BUT…. I didn’t do anything to help the team win. Yes I got loud on 3rd down, and yes I really wanted them to win.
Is that really enough reason for 2 men that are strangers to touch each other in a packed building where you don’t have 5 inches of space between the person next to you? I guess so..
