As home bakers when our oven went out we had 1 easy decision and a million hard ones.
The easy one… we need a working oven.
The hard ones…
- Repair (the current oven was too small so we wanted to upgrade anyway)
- Replace (gas or electric)
- Replace (27″ or 30″)
- Replace (range or wall)
- Add, don’t replace (smallish counter oven)
- Add + Replace (some combination of above)
- Start looking at a shop where we can get out of the limitation of home baking…
So the final answer = Replace + Electric + 27″ + Wall. Now which model?
Of course you can go with GE, Kitchen-aid, Frigidaire, Whirlpool and more.
Finally after much procrastination and too much research we pulled the trigger.
Our pans are about 21″ which we use and the oven is 21.5″ perfect!
Well not perfect. Come to find out the oven is really only 20.5″ of usable space, and the pans are about 21.5″.
Hence the pan modifications.GRRRRR!
