We’ve hosted a number of gatherings where I’m responsible for grilling the food. Many times we’ll do the meat in 2 batches.

Once the main portion of the food comes off the grill, we typically through more on while eating.

Unfortunately I have to admit more than a few times I’ve forgotten the second round of food on the grill and what essentially comes off is unintentional jerky.

No one wants it, because jerky wasn’t the goal.

Last night we intentionally made some jerky and it was amazing, the results weren’t far off from some of the unintentional jerky but we devoured it.

Sometimes maybe reframing your results will give you a new appreciation on the outcome.
